Running Festival of the Economic Forum considered the most interesting running event in Poland!

Running Festival of the Economic Forum has been recognized by the portal MaratonyPolskie.pl as the last year's most interesting running event. Thus it was awarded the FILIPIDES 2011 in the category of  "Most Interesting Formula." This is the third award the festival has received in its short history. Its first edition in 2010 was recognized as "The Organizing Debut of the Year" and the festival's founder Zygmunt Berdychowski was granted the award of FILIPIDES in the category of "Best Running Promoter 2010."

New competition

Marathon Relays Festival!

Assemble a team of four, your friends, work colleagues or your family and register for the relay race, which is part of the Marathon of the Running Festival. Marathon Relays Festival is a four-person team which overcomes a total distance of the marathon. First, second and third team member runs 10K and a fourth one runs 12,195m.  Competition will take a place on the route of the Koral Marathon and will start at 8:50 am on Sunday 9th September. However, it’s worth to sign up today and benefit from a promotion of accommodation and lower registration fees valid only until the end of December 2011.

The Fastest Family in Poland 2011

Classification for the „Fastest Family in Poland” during 2011 Running Festival was won by the Pobłocki family (8 pts.) Below the list of the Top 10 of the competition:

1. Pobłoccy (Katarzyna, Kaja, Kamila, Bożena and Piotr) - 8 pts.

2. Połeć I (Jerzy, Adrian, Arkadiusz) - 18 pts.

3. Kotki Team (Karolina, Piotr, Bartosz, Michał) - 25 pts

4. Pokrzywińscy (Danuta, Beata, Zbigniew and Krzysztof) - 30 pts

5.  Muzyka (Barbara, Maria and Maurycy) - 37 pts

6. Gałuszka (Halina, Mariusz and Dawid) - 53 pts

7. Basta (Iwona, Grażyna, Mirosław) - 55 pts

Running Festival League

Almost 7000 participants in races in Running Festival League

Runners from all around Poland competed in the league in 3 classifications: Punctual, Most Active Runner and Most Effective Runner. The League Final took place during the Running Festival in Krynica-Zdrój. In punctual classifications winners were: Wioletta Uryga from Kluczbork and Andrzej Długosz from Rytro, as Most Active Runners  Anna Balbus from Bytom and Rafał Krzemień from Wieliczka were awarded and Wioletta Uryga from Kluczbork and Jakub Burghardt from Muszyna were named Most Effective Runners. Winners in each classification of women and men received 3000 PLN, thos in second places – 2000 PLN and thirds 1000 PLN.  

World Championship in Krynica!

The 2013 World Championship in Mountain Running will be held in Krynica-Zdrój 

In Tirana the IAAF Congress decided to entrust the organization of  World Championship in Mountain Anglo-Saxon Running in 2013 to the Running Festival of the Economic Forum.  - It is a great and highly important news – says the Chairman of Programme Council of the Economic Forum, Zygmunt Berdychowski. –  We start preparation for the WCh today. Our representative in Tirana was Andrzej Puchacz from Polish Athletics Association (PZLA). We have proposed many interesting solutions, including the visualization of Jaworzyna track, which is already marked out – he stressed.

Koral Marathon

Grzegorz Chyż - the fastest marathon runner

Grzegorz Czyż from Bogumiłowice won the Koral Maraton of Running Festival. The winner achieved the result of 2:43:33. Second place was taken by Piotr Pobłocki from Lębork  (2:49:52) and Dmytro Ivanysh from Uzgorod (Ukraine) came third with 2:52:21. Among women Danuta Piskorowska from Wrocław turned out as the best with the result 3:03:56 (9th in general classification).

TAURON Life 10

We know the winners!

Martin Mukule Muia with the result of 28 minutes and 5 seconds won the Life 10 run from Krynica-Zdrój to Muszyna. Second arrived Jakub Burhardt (0:29:09), representing Running Group Sądeczanin. The last place at the podium was taken by Rafał Snochowski (0:30:59) from BKL Bełchatów. The fastest woman was Aleksandra Jawor from Częstochowa. 

Jaworzyna Race

Andrzej Długosz won the Jaworzyna Race

Andrzej Długosz from Rytro turned out to be  the fastest runner in the run to the Jaworzyna Krynicka top. His time was16:21. Runner-up was Daniel Wosik (0:17:11) from Kunów, third place was taken by Paweł Krawczyk (0:18:08) from Cracow. The best among women was Izabela Zatorska from Wrocanka, who with result of 0:20:39 finished as 9th in general classification.
